It can be rolled into your mortgage repayments or covered with a higher interest rate. This method may make sense if you are already paying off debt and can’t afford the high cost of the closing fees. If you can pay it on the standard terms, then this is best.
  • Close on the purchase near the end of the month – One of the items included in the closing costs is prepaid homeowners’ insurance. You can lower this cost if you can time the closing of the sale closer to the end of the month.
